旧居再現計画【アース噴霧器】 ― 2012年06月27日 00時00分
知ってる人は知っている、知らない人は何かわからんかもしれませんが、私らが子供の頃の殺虫剤というとこれでした。
しかし、ハエやカならともかく、ゴキブリのようにスピードの早い奴には噴霧が追いつかず取り逃がすということも多かったように思います。しかも当時の殺虫剤はゴキにはあんまり効かなかったような…。
私は1959年生まれですが、1952年にはすでにエアゾール式の殺虫剤は発売されていたようです。にもかかわらず、うちにこんなのがあったのは、ビンボーだったからでしょうか？新しいもの好きのうちの両親も、これにはあんまり関心がなかったのか？ちなみに電気蚊取り「ベープ」はありましたよ。

蒸し器といっしょに見つけたのですが、まさかこんなものがあるとは思いもしませんでした。匂いもベタベタもかなりのものでしたよね。吹きすぎなのかも知れませんが…。
便槽のウジ殺しは覚えています。まだ販売されていますよね。塩酸を放り込んでいる家もあったような記憶があるんですが。

アース噴霧器今でも購入出来るのですか?ホームセンターを色々探していますが、見つかりませんでした。何処で購入されたかお教え頂けないでしょうか。現在ホームセンターで売られている噴霧器は小さなノズル穴で粘度の高い液体だとすぐ詰まってしまいこの昔の噴霧器を探していました。

中村公一さんこんにちは。この噴霧器は京都の山科駅前の「三木屋金物店」で購入しました。通販もしていますので、検索してみて下さい。ただし現行品ではなくて長期在庫品ですからピストンのパッキングが多少劣化している部分もありますので、新品と同様に実用になるかどうかは、実際に試してみないとわかりません。その点はお含みおきくださいね。

ビール瓶みたいな茶色い瓶に入ってて…ニオイもあのアブラギッシュな噴霧後の床もリアルに覚えています。
うちではあの頃“蚊取り線香は金鳥、殺虫剤はアース”でしたね。“ベープ”みたいな電気式のやつは、つい最近まで使っていませんでした。
余談ですが、汲み取り便所に夏になったら“ウジ殺し”の薬をやはりビール瓶みたいなやつから出して、水で溶いてまいていたのも、懐かしい思い出です。
